Have you been to a ball, celebrated the last day of April, gone sledding down the hill, become a Swedish citizen, or simply gone to work on an ordinary Tuesday? Here you can take part in many memories of the castle.

Welcome to “Memories of the Castle” – an exhibition exploring the history of Uppsala Castle through personal memories and experiences. Through stories, images, and objects, you gain insight into the way these memories shape our understanding of the castle and its meaning.

From adventures in the hidden passages of the castle, to memorable weddings and secret kisses on the castle hill, every memory contributes to the creation of a vivid picture of this iconic landmark. We invite you to reflect on the role of the castle in both historical and personal events, and how these events continue to affect us today.
